A glimpse of The Gables Inn…

Picture-Worth a Thousand Words

“A picture is worth a thousand words“ refers to the notion that complex and sometimes multiple ideas can be conveyed by a single still image, which conveys its meaning or essence more effectively than a mere verbal description, however, most of our guests say a photograph of the inn isn’t as great as seeing it in person or the pictures “don’t do it justice”.

History lives here with the museum like antiques and documents on display in all the common areas of this Historic Inn.  Guests often express their astonishment at the many items on display from a 1960’s rotary dial telephone to a Cecilian Phonograph, an 1865 Lithograph to 1875 Bible.  1865 Civil War memorabilia to an 1884 Arkansas Map.  There are articles and photos about Hot Springs’ Great Fire of 1905 to a propaganda leaflet from World War II, not to mention the period furniture within the inn.

If you want a little exercise, a great way to work those leg muscles is by relaxing on our twin front porch rockers.  Perhaps you want to unwind in one of the swings that occupy the wrap around porch.  Follow a path to our garden gazebo or courtyard with a delightful angel fountain.  Find the perfect “selfie” location out back as you escape and explore the outdoor property at The Gables Inn.
